MINDFULNESS: A JOURNEY OF PEACE & CONNECTION

I’d like to share a little bit about my journey. I’m a Certified Mindfulness Coach and CBT Practitioner, a lover of the arts, and a mother to 4 beautiful children. I have always had the desire to support individuals in overcoming emotional pain and in supporting them to make transformational changes in life.

I, like many, grew up with some challenges that left me feeling disempowered, at times isolated, and stuck. I deeply yearned to be free from unhelpful patterns and feelings of self-doubt. What I truly wanted was inner peace, a life fueled by purpose and deeper connections.

Therapy helped in some ways but also felt limiting. Although there was some benefit, complete healing never really took place at my core. There was something else I needed.

Growing up I was always motivated to study the field of psychology so that I could find the best paths toward self-healing. I received a degree in psychology and found that the current Mental Health field had some constraints and gaps that I identified as paramount to mental and emotional wellness.

A few years ago, I was blessed to find and be trained at the Academy of Modern and Applied Psychology.  I fell in love with the art of Mindfulness, a fascinating field of study that teaches us to cultivate a growth-oriented mindset built on self-awareness and self-control.

As a student of this approach, I have adopted this practice into everyday life. This practice has brought about an awakening and healing on many levels that I had been seeking for years. The Mindfulness Process is an invaluable life discipline that matures over time, and even better it encourages us to apply what we learn in real-life situations.

Where the Mental Health field has a focus on feeling better this process helps us be better, which ultimately helps us feel better, as it draws fulfillment, meaning, and connections into our lives. I look forward to sharing these practices with you and supporting you as you build upon and heal areas of your life that have been challenging you.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is not about emptying the mind, it’s about entering into a place of peace.  It’s about making peace with everyone and everything. In a sense, it is an awakening to ourselves.

Mindfulness is an ancient wisdom-based discipline that fosters deep self-awareness and leads to profound personal growth. Studying Mindfulness enables learners to cultivate powerful inner resilience and make wise decisions during times of pressure, crisis, or stress.

With mindfulness, many benefits can be achieved, including wisdom, mental wellness, and better decision-making during times of stress, pressure, or uncertainty. The act of being mindful means being aware of what is happening at the moment without reacting to it. Mindfulness has played a vital role in helping people achieve their full potential for millennia.
